Check-in: how you feel in 20 seconds.

Once a day, the check-in records what no watch measures: your overall wellbeing, how your sleep felt, your mental load and your rest time. Only the first question is required. Together with the measured values, your history shows whether feeling and numbers match.

Four questions, only the first is required

  • Wellbeing: “How are you overall today?” Five levels from very rough to very good.
  • Sleep feeling: “How did your sleep feel?” Restless, so-so or restful.
  • Mental load: “How much was on your mind today?” From barely to very much. This covers focus, conversations, appointments and worries.
  • Rest time: “How long did you rest during the day?” From under one hour to more than six hours, with or without sleep.

Only the first question is required; you can add the rest later. Older check-ins can no longer be changed. That keeps your entries comparable.

Your own answers add what watches do not measure

A watch records pulse, sleep duration and steps. It does not measure how demanding a conversation was or how much was on your mind. That is why Apple also relies on your own input: in the Health app you log your state of mind, separately for the emotion in the moment and the mood of the whole day.

The mypacing check-in is deliberately short. About 20 seconds is enough, so it fits into busy days too.

Tags mark special days

You can add tags to your check-in, such as “tense”, “calm” or “travel”. These are your own observations. Under Entries you later filter by them yourself and see the matching days.

Your history shows answers and measurements side by side

In your history, mypacing shows wellbeing and mental load from your answers next to resting heart rate, HRV, sleep and steps. The app does not calculate a stress score from your answers. It puts the information side by side, and you draw your own conclusions.

You can download your entries as a file at any time or delete them together with your account.
